Start with the big picture.
Hebrews exalts Jesus Christ as God’s final revelation, greater than angels, greater than Moses, the Son over God’s house, the great High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, mediator of a better covenant, and the once-for-all sacrifice who perfects access to God. The letter combines rich doctrinal exposition with urgent warnings against turning back, calls believers to draw near, hold fast, endure, live by faith, and run the race looking unto Jesus.
