Purpose
Use submitted information for the request, account, ministry, care, or service connected to it.
This policy explains what information TWBC collects through our website and church systems, why we use it, how communication consent is handled, and the special protections applied to mobile numbers and SMS opt-in records.
TWBC collects information to carry out church ministries and website functions—not to build a data-broker business. Forms should ask only for information needed to respond, keep contact choices clear, and preserve proof of communication consent when consent matters.
Use submitted information for the request, account, ministry, care, or service connected to it.
Required operational email agreement is kept separate from optional SMS consent.
Consent records may preserve the date, source, disclosure, and privacy-safe technical evidence.
Depending on the page, form, or service you use, TWBC may collect your name, email address, phone number, account information, prayer or care information, transportation details, event or ministry interests, service participation information, and other information you intentionally submit through the website or My TWBC.
Public forms may also collect security information such as form timestamps, Cloudflare Turnstile verification results, browser information, and privacy-preserving connection identifiers used for spam prevention, rate limiting, auditing, or abuse investigation.
TWBC uses submitted information to respond to requests, provide church services, coordinate transportation, administer My TWBC accounts, handle prayer and care requests according to the privacy choice selected, communicate about the specific request or church activity involved, maintain appropriate church records, protect website systems, and support ministries the visitor has chosen to interact with.
We do not use a prayer request, transportation request, or account submission as permission to publish private details. Public display follows the privacy choices and church review process associated with that system.
TWBC public contact and account forms may require an email address and phone number so the church has reliable ways to respond, send a receipt or secure account link, resolve a request, or reach the person if important details change. Where a form requires operational email communication, the form presents a clear email-contact agreement before submission.
Providing a phone number does not by itself authorize recurring automated text messages. Phone calls or direct person-to-person contact connected to the request may still be used when reasonably necessary to respond.
When TWBC offers text-message updates, SMS consent is collected through a separate, unchecked choice that identifies True Words Baptist Church, the subject of the messages, message frequency, possible carrier charges, and how to opt out or get help. A visitor may decline SMS consent and still complete the primary form.
TWBC does not sell, rent, share, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is specific to TWBC and to the messaging subject described when consent is given; it is not transferred to another organization or silently expanded to unrelated programs.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms & Conditions.
TWBC may use service providers that process information on the church's behalf when necessary to host or secure the website, deliver email or text messages, operate account systems, or provide another requested church function. Those providers act only to perform services for TWBC and are not authorized to use TWBC mobile opt-in information for their own marketing.
TWBC may also disclose information when required by law, when reasonably necessary to protect people or systems, or when the person who provided the information specifically requests or authorizes the disclosure. The mobile/SMS non-sharing rule above remains controlling for marketing or promotional use.
TWBC keeps information for as long as reasonably needed for the church purpose involved, operational history, account administration, legal obligations, safety, or proof of consent. Communication-consent records may preserve the source form, date and time, contact information, exact disclosure, program subject, consent method, and privacy-preserving technical evidence so TWBC can demonstrate how consent was obtained.
TWBC uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including anti-spam controls and access restrictions where appropriate. No website or internet transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Some TWBC pages may load services provided by other companies, such as Cloudflare for anti-spam verification or video platforms for embedded broadcasts. Those services may process technical information under their own policies when their features are used. TWBC limits these integrations to functions that support the website or church ministry.
If you have a question about information you submitted to TWBC, email info@truewordsbaptist.org, use the Contact TWBC page, or visit True Words Baptist Church at 1377 S 20th St, Louisville, KY 40210.
Mobile opt-in information is not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process it only as necessary to deliver TWBC messaging.
We want the information you give the church to be handled consistently with the purpose and privacy choice you selected.
