Philemon

Philemon is Paul’s personal appeal concerning Onesimus, a man who had been unprofitable to Philemon but had become Paul’s beloved brother in the faith. Rather than command by authority alone, Paul appeals through love, asks Philemon to receive Onesimus as he would receive Paul, offers to repay any debt, and models how the gospel reshapes relationships through forgiveness, brotherhood, responsibility, and voluntary grace.
