What is happening here?
Ahab asks Jehoshaphat of Judah to join him in recovering Ramoth-gilead. Four hundred prophets promise success, but Jehoshaphat asks for a prophet of the LORD. Micaiah predicts Israel scattered like sheep without a shepherd and describes a heavenly scene in which Ahab’s prophets are given over to a lying spirit as judgment. Ahab imprisons him and goes to battle in disguise. A random arrow strikes him between the armor joints, and he dies. Jehoshaphat’s reign is summarized, followed by Ahaziah’s evil reign in Israel.
