CHAPTER STUDY WORKSPACE

1 Kings 8

Israel’s elders gather as the ark is brought from Zion into the temple’s most holy place. A cloud fills the house so the priests cannot stand to minister. Solomon blesses the congregation, recalls God’s promise to David, and offers a long prayer asking God to hear from heaven in cases of sin, defeat, drought, famine, war, foreign prayer, and exile. He then blesses the people, offers sacrifices, and celebrates a great feast.
