What is happening here?
Elisha helps a prophet’s widow whose creditors threaten to take her sons by multiplying her small amount of oil until every borrowed vessel is full. In Shunem a wealthy woman provides him a room; he promises her a son, and later raises that son after the child dies. Elisha then neutralizes poison in a pot for the sons of the prophets and multiplies twenty barley loaves so one hundred men eat and leave some over.
