CHAPTER STUDY WORKSPACE

Acts 23

Paul stands before the Sanhedrin and declares his conscience before God. After a sharp exchange with the high priest, Paul identifies the resurrection hope as the central issue, dividing Pharisees and Sadducees and creating such violence that Roman soldiers remove him. That night the Lord tells Paul to be of good cheer because he must bear witness at Rome. A conspiracy of more than forty men vows to kill him, but Paul’s nephew exposes the plot and the Roman commander sends Paul under heavy guard to Governor Felix in Caesarea.
