What is happening here?
Exodus 36 records the beginning of tabernacle construction under Bezalel, Aholiab, and the wisehearted craftsmen. The people continue bringing freewill offerings every morning until the workers report that there is more than enough material. Moses commands the people to stop giving. The chapter then describes the making of the fine-linen curtains with cherubims, goat-hair coverings, protective skins, gold-overlaid boards, bars, veil, and entrance hanging according to the pattern previously revealed.
