The remaining tribal inheritances are assigned: Simeon within Judah’s larger territory, then Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan. Dan’s people later take Leshem when their original territory proves difficult to possess. Only after the tribes receive their portions does Joshua receive Timnath-serah as his own inheritance, and the distribution is declared finished before the LORD at Shiloh.
