What is happening here?
Leviticus 8 records the consecration of Aaron and his sons exactly as the LORD commanded Moses. The congregation gathers at the tabernacle, the priests are washed and clothed, the tabernacle and altar are anointed, sacrifices are offered, blood is placed on Aaron and his sons, and the priests remain at the tabernacle for seven days. The chapter turns earlier priestly instructions into enacted obedience.
