Ruth 3

Naomi seeks a more secure future for Ruth and instructs her to approach Boaz after the threshing. Ruth lies at his feet and asks him to spread his skirt over her because he is a near kinsman. Boaz praises her loyalty and willingness not to pursue younger men, promises to act if the nearer kinsman will not, and sends her home with barley. Naomi is confident Boaz will settle the matter that day.
