This area is for conversations that help our church family and friends stay connected, encourage one another, share helpful information, and enjoy fellowship throughout the week. Think of it as the general gathering place of the TWBC Community.
What belongs here?
Church & Fellowship is a good place for posts such as:
- Church-related conversation and fellowship
- Encouragement for other members and families
- Questions about church activities, schedules, ministries, or events
- Announcements or information that may be helpful to the church family
- Testimonies and encouraging reports
- Bible-related conversation that does not belong in a more specific community area
- Questions about getting involved at TWBC
- Fellowship opportunities, meals, outings, or other appropriate activities
- Helpful suggestions or ideas for the church community
- General conversation among members and friends of True Words Baptist Church
If another Community Area clearly fits your subject better, please post it there so discussions remain organized and easy to find.
Discussions vs. Questions
Use Start a Discussion when you want to share something, begin a conversation, give an update, or invite others to participate.
Use Ask a Question when you are looking for a specific answer or information from the church community.
Please give your post a clear, specific title. Instead of a title such as “Question” or “Need Help,” use something like “What Time Does the Saturday Soul Winning Group Meet?” A good title makes the Community easier for everyone to use.
Remember: This Is a Public Community
Posts in this section are public, and your My TWBC profile name will appear with your post. Please do not post private information about yourself or another person that should not be publicly visible.
Do not publish someone else's phone number, address, email address, medical details, family circumstances, private conversations, or other personal information without appropriate permission.
For personal or sensitive matters, contact the appropriate person privately rather than placing the information in a public discussion.
Keep Our Fellowship Christ-Honoring
We want the TWBC Community to be useful, welcoming, orderly, and edifying. Speak to others with respect. Disagreement is permitted, but personal attacks, insults, fighting, gossip, accusations, profanity, inappropriate content, spam, and deliberately disruptive posting are not appropriate here.
Before posting something about another person, consider whether the matter should instead be handled directly and privately.
This Community should strengthen fellowship rather than become a substitute for speaking personally with one another when a private conversation is appropriate.
Stay on Topic
Please keep replies reasonably connected to the original post. If a conversation develops into a substantially different subject, start a new discussion. This helps people find information later and prevents useful conversations from becoming difficult to follow.
Before creating a new post, you may also want to use Search to see whether the subject has already been discussed.
Moderation
Pastors and authorized TWBC administrators may move, edit, close, or remove posts when necessary to keep the Community organized, accurate, safe, and appropriate for its purpose.
Moderation is not intended to prevent normal conversation or reasonable disagreement. Its purpose is to maintain an orderly church community and keep discussions useful for everyone.
Be Part of the Community
You do not have to wait until you have an important announcement to participate. Ask questions. Encourage someone. Share a testimony. Welcome someone new. Join a discussion. Help someone find an answer.
Our goal is for the TWBC Community to strengthen the fellowship we already have together and give us another way to stay connected throughout the week.
