2 Kings 15 Overview
Azariah, also called Uzziah, reigns fifty-two years in Judah and generally does right, though the high places remain; he is struck with leprosy and lives separately while Jotham governs. The northern kingdom races through Zechariah, Shallum, Menahem, Pekahiah, and Pekah amid assassination and brutality. Menahem pays Assyrian tribute through taxation. Under Pekah, Tiglath-pileser captures large northern territories and deports people. Hoshea assassinates Pekah. Jotham then reigns in Judah.
