About This Course
Bible Doctrine I: The Word of God is the first course in the paid TrueWords+ Bible Doctrine path. It is designed to take a serious student beyond slogans and into a biblical, historical, and practical understanding of inspiration, preservation, canon, manuscripts, translation, the King James Bible, textual differences, and final authority.
Premium-course standard
This course requires more than reading pages. Every lesson contains Scripture comparison, doctrinal reasoning, a Doctrine Lab, required Quick Checks, and questions that force you to separate evidence from assumption. The final exam requires 85% mastery.
What you will learn
- What inspiration actually means and why the words of Scripture matter.
- How Scripture describes preservation and how God used copies and ordinary historical means.
- What manuscripts and textual variants are—and what they are not.
- How the Old and New Testament canons were recognized.
- Why translation is necessary and how translation philosophy affects what readers see.
- How the King James Bible came to be, what its italics and older pronouns communicate, and what textual traditions stand behind it.
- Why modern English Bibles sometimes differ from the KJV and how to investigate those differences intelligently.
- How to keep church tradition, teachers, experiences, study tools, and personal conclusions under the final authority of Scripture.
TrueWords+ position: We use and teach the King James Version as our English Bible. We do not teach that people in other languages must read English; they need faithful Scripture in a language they understand. We also refuse weak arguments, invented history, and fear-based claims. Confidence in the Bible should be strong enough to examine real evidence.
If this course awards My TWBC points, they are awarded only after the course completion requirements are met.
