About This Course

Bible Doctrine IV: Jesus Christ — His Person and Work is the fourth course in the paid TrueWords+ Bible Doctrine path. It moves from the doctrine of the Trinity into a full Scripture-first study of the eternal Son: who He is, how He became man, the names and offices Scripture gives Him, what He accomplished at the cross, His bodily resurrection and exaltation, and why eternal life is found in Him alone.

Premium-course standard

This course is intentionally deeper than the Foundations curriculum. Every lesson uses complete KJV Scripture, cross-reference work, a Doctrine Lab, a Teach It Back exercise, three unique Quick Checks, and direct engagement with difficult texts and competing claims. The final exam requires 85% mastery.

What you will learn

  • Why Jesus Christ did not begin at Bethlehem and how Scripture presents Him as the eternal Word, Creator, and divine Son.
  • How the virgin birth and incarnation preserve both His full deity and true humanity.
  • Why the sinlessness of Christ is essential to His saving work.
  • How titles such as Son of God, Son of Man, Messiah, Lord, and God function in their biblical contexts.
  • How Christ fulfills the offices of Prophet, Great High Priest, Mediator, and King.
  • What His miracles, authority to forgive sins, life-giving promises, and obedience reveal about His identity and mission.
  • How Scripture explains substitution, redemption, propitiation, ransom, and the finished work of the cross.
  • What Psalm 16 and Acts 2 teach when Peter says Christ’s soul was not left in hell and His flesh did not see corruption.
  • Why the bodily resurrection is indispensable to the gospel and how Christ’s ascension, intercession, and promised return complete the biblical picture.
  • How to interpret difficult sayings such as “my Father is greater than I” and “My God, my God” without denying either Christ’s deity or His true humanity.
  • How to answer created-Christ claims, merely-human views, appearance-only Christologies, and explanations that erase the personal distinction of Father and Son.
  • How Christology connects directly to the gospel: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and receive everlasting life.

TrueWords+ position: We affirm Jesus Christ as the eternal divine Son, truly God and truly man, conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of a virgin, without sin, crucified for our sins, buried, bodily risen, ascended, interceding, and coming again. His soul was not left in hell and His flesh did not see corruption. His propitiatory work is for the whole world, and eternal life is received by faith in Him alone—not by baptism, prayer, church membership, reform, perseverance, or other works.
