About This Course
Bible Doctrine VII: Salvation — Grace, Faith, Justification, and Eternal Life is an advanced Scripture-first study of the gospel and the doctrine of salvation. It begins with the direct biblical question, “What must I do to be saved?”, establishes Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection as the gospel, and then traces grace, faith, justification, imputation, forgiveness, redemption, propitiation, reconciliation, regeneration, adoption, sanctification, sealing, assurance, and eternal security through the Scriptures.

What you will learn
- Why the Bible’s direct answer to the question of salvation is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
- How grace, gift, faith, and works are contrasted in Romans, John, Acts, Galatians, and Ephesians.
- Why repentance must be defined biblically and why moral reform cannot be added as another condition for receiving eternal life.
- Why Romans 10 places belief before calling and why prayer is not the condition that causes a sinner to be born again.
- Why baptism, discipleship, obedience, church, service, and good works belong after salvation without becoming its purchase price or proof condition.
- How justification, imputed righteousness, forgiveness, redemption, propitiation, reconciliation, regeneration, adoption, sanctification, and sealing fit together without being collapsed into one vague idea.
- Why everlasting life is a present possession, why the believer shall never perish, and why security rests on God’s promise and Christ’s sufficiency rather than future performance.
- How to distinguish eternal salvation from fellowship, chastening, usefulness, testimony, temporal consequences, and reward.
- How to work difficult passages such as James 2, Matthew 7, Matthew 24, Hebrews 6, Hebrews 10, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21, and Philippians 2:12 in context.
- How to study election, foreknowledge, predestination, Romans 9, and God’s desire that sinners be saved without importing Calvinistic determinism or denying genuine human responsibility.
- How to prove the gospel and eternal security from an open Bible and answer common objections with Scripture rather than slogans.
TrueWords+ position: Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Christ died for the sins of the whole world, was buried, and rose again. Eternal life is received when a sinner believes on Christ; it is not purchased, completed, maintained, or proven by works, baptism, prayer, church membership, moral reform, calling, perseverance, or a lifetime record of obedience. Calling follows belief. Baptism and good works are important acts of obedience after salvation. Every person in every age who was justified before God was justified by faith, not by a different saving program. The believer has everlasting life and is eternally secure. Scripture also teaches real consequences for disobedience in fellowship, chastening, usefulness, testimony, and reward. We affirm God’s sovereignty, foreknowledge, and purpose while rejecting deterministic systems that make the gospel invitation unreal or teach regeneration before faith.
