About This Course
The Gospel: How to Be Saved is a detailed, Scripture-rich study of the Bible's message of salvation. It is designed for someone hearing the gospel for the first time, a believer who wants strong assurance from the Word of God, or a Christian who wants to explain the gospel accurately to someone else.
What you will learn
- What the Bible means by the gospel and why the message centers on Jesus Christ.
- What sin is, why every person is guilty before God, and why human goodness cannot erase guilt.
- What the Bible teaches about death, judgment, hell, and the second death.
- Who Jesus Christ is: the eternal Son of God, truly God and truly man.
- What Christ accomplished through His substitutionary death, burial, and bodily resurrection.
- Why eternal life is received by faith alone in Jesus Christ, not by works.
- Why baptism, church membership, behavioral reform, religious rituals, and prayer are not additional conditions for receiving eternal life.
- Why the person who has everlasting life is eternally secure.
- How a believer can know that he has eternal life from the written testimony of God.
- How to present the gospel carefully, clearly, and directly from Scripture.
