LESSON 24 OF 24

Become a Lifelong Witness

19 min Build a Lifetime of Soul Winning 3 Quick Checks
Lesson purpose

Soul winning should not be a short-term challenge that disappears after a few weeks. Build a life that keeps caring about souls, learning the Bible, and looking for opportunities decade after decade.

In this lesson

  • Expect seasons of fruit and seasons of rejection.
  • Keep learning difficult questions.
  • Train others so the work multiplies.

Do not be weary in well doing

Some days conversations will be encouraging. Other days almost no one will listen. Faithfulness cannot be measured only by immediate visible results. Keep going because the gospel remains true and people still need it.

Keep sharpening your understanding

Every objection can become a study assignment. Every difficult conversation can expose a weak spot in your explanation. Write questions down, study them carefully, and become more useful over time.

Teach someone else to do what you learned

2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

A mature soul winner does not merely accumulate personal experience. He helps create more soul winners. One believer teaches another, who teaches another, and the work continues.

FOUNDATIONS MASTERY

Compare Scripture with Scripture

Scripture trail: 2 Timothy 2:2 • Matthew 28:18-20 • Mark 16:15 • Romans 10:13-17 • 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 • 2 Timothy 2:24-26 • 1 Peter 3:15 • Romans 3:23

Do not rush past the references. Open them, read the surrounding verses, and make the Bible carry the weight of the conclusion.

Think it through

  1. Which verse would you actually open first if a real person were confused about this subject, and why?
  2. What question could you ask after reading the verse to discover whether the hearer understood it?
  3. Explain the truth aloud in plain language while keeping belief in Christ—not works, reform, baptism, or prayer—as the saving condition.

Teach it back

Without looking at the lesson explanation, summarize Become a Lifelong Witness in two or three sentences and support your explanation from Scripture. If you cannot explain it simply yet, return to the passages and work through them again.

STUDY IT FOR YOURSELF

Slow down and work the text

Reopen 2 Timothy 2:2. Read enough before and after each verse to see the setting. Do not settle for remembering a slogan when you can inspect the wording for yourself.

  1. Write the main claim of Become a Lifelong Witness in one sentence.
  2. Underline or write down the exact words in the passages that support that claim.
  3. Compare at least two of the passages. What truth becomes clearer when they are read together?
  4. Ask what could be misunderstood if one phrase were isolated from its context.
  5. Explain this truth aloud as though you were speaking to a real person who has never heard it clearly before.
Before you continue

  • Which verse would you open to explain this truth?
  • What simple question would reveal whether the hearer understood it?
  • Can you explain the truth clearly without pressure or added saving conditions?
KEY TRUTH

A lifelong soul winner keeps preaching Christ, keeps learning, keeps loving people, and keeps training others. Faithfulness over decades can multiply far beyond one person.
